The Dollar may be down, but the almighty Juice remains strong

According to an article in Nature, a study at Duke University has shown that rhesus macaques will pay to look at images of powerful or sexually interesting subjects. "Virtually all monkeys will give up juice to see female hindquarters; they really value the images," says neurobiologist Robert Deaner. (Wikipedia also lists fig newtons, apricots, and "large quantities of marshmallow" as some other of the macaques' weaknesses.)

This rhesus macaque is displeased with the hedonistic frivolities of his monkey brethren.
